Accordia Life vs. Nationwide: Which company is more well-reviewed?

Before we part ways for the day, we’d like to stress the importance of company ratings from organizations like A.M. Best and the Better Business Bureau. These ratings are critical to a company’s success as they inform consumers of a particular insurer’s financial strength.

The Better Business Bureau’s rating scale goes from the high end of “A+” down to the low end of “F.” It’s pretty good news for Accordia Life as they received the Better Business Bureau’s second-highest rating of “A.” However, be aware that Accordia Life does not hold BBB accreditation as of this time.

How did Nationwide do with the BBB? Not only did the Better Business Bureau give Nationwide the highest rating of “A+,” but they also accredited them as well.

A.M. Best has a slightly different rating scale from the Better Business Bureau in that it ranges from “A++” down to “D.”

Accordia Life received an “A-” rating from A.M. Best. How did Nationwide do with A.M. Best? Nationwide received an even higher rating than Accordia Life of “A+” (Superior).

In short, Nationwide wins again. So, you have two excellent choices here, but one stands above the other’s shoulders.
