Accelerated underwriting is designed to have the ability to issue a policy quickly without the need for a medical exam or lab work.

With TermAccel the entire application process is done electronically. Once the application is submitted you will be required to schedule a quick telephone interview with a registered Lincoln Financial Group representative to complete some underwriting questions.

During this process, the insurance company will pull data on you to verify eligibility. This data generally consists of the following:

  • Rx – Report of prescribed medications
  • MVR – Report of your driving history
  • MIB – Report of documented personal data

Based on the data reports and information received from the telephone interview, underwriting will determine if you have qualified for coverage without the need for an exam.

If underwriting is unable to approved coverage you will be provided with the option to complete a medical exam that will be provided by the insurance company.
